I also prob will stay away from those enable/disable all buttons and just do this manually from now on. So whatever I did prob fixed it? It seems the mod is safe to use but removing it could've been a factor in fixing it. So I decided to take testing further and resubbed to Improved Content Manager, entered game, enabled it, exited/re-entered, to find that everything remained the same from how I had it setup.įinally, I tested by adding in a new asset and new mod into my game, and when I went into the game all my settings still stayed. Everything stayed the same, and that's good progress. So I've finished my testing again and did a few more things: I removed the mod from the Steam client, entered my game, and just re-enabled one mod manually and exit/re-enter, and the setting stayed! So this time, I did not touch the Enable All/Disable All buttons on my assets and decided to just enable/disable them all the old-fashioned way, by manually setting all my assets (took me almost an hour but I was very thorough) and then exited my game and re-entered. In fact, my copy that I placed in the folder was gone! What is going on and how can I fix this? It seems when I go into my user folders, the game's own file is missing from the local, and when I tried to place my copy in the folder and boot my game again, nothing changed. I enter my game for the first time today to find that it has soft reset itself yet again, but this time I had saved a copy of the userGameState.cgs file from last night somewhere else. Next, I entered into my most recent save game to make sure everything was working fine, to which everything was apart from the fact all the unique buildings have been re-locked and was not re-unlocking some of them even though I already had most of the already unlocked buildings placed in that save. ![]() ![]() That seemed to work and put all my mods back in, but they were all disabled and the game re-enabled all the custom assets I had, so I had to set everything right again. However for some reason, ever since yesterday some weird glitch has happened and 'soft reset' my game when I first encountered the problem I entered my game to find all my mods disappeared from my game thought I'd just exit and re-enter the game again. So I'm aware that the game saves things like enabled/disabled custom assets/mods, unlocked buildings and things of that nature in the userGameState.cgs file in my user folders.
